Vacation Homes in the North Georgia Mountains

Welcome to the mountains! High River is a luxury gated community just a short drive from downtown Ellijay. Farmhouse 141 and Chalet 204 were designed and decorated for simple comfort in a spacious, quiet setting. Whether you're staying the weekend or spending more time in Ellijay, you'll have the supplies you need. These 4 bedroom 3.5 bath mountain getaways are a great retreat from the busyness of life. Each house sits on 3+ acres with plenty of space to roam in the woods.

Our rates are straight forward and clear. You won't be surprised by any hidden service or cleaning fees. The fee you see, PLUS required local and state taxes, is what you will pay. We will put a $250 hold on the credit card used for security deposit, to be used in case of damage (unused amount to be released within 3 days of check out). Our house is managed directly by the owner, and Marcy really enjoys making sure you have a wonderful space to enjoy. Please reach out to us with any questions.

If you love our rentals and would like to build your own in the North Georgia Mountains, reach out to our partner company at www.HighRiverProperties.com for more information. Email info@HighRiverProperties or call 470-599-9144.

Community Amenities

Take a short drive to the Coosawattee River, Mountaintown Creek, and Lake LeCroy...all within the High River Community gates. Community parks, walking trails, and fire pits are spread across the High River Community allowing your group to enjoy different scenery around the 1200 acre community.

During the warmer months, the canoe launch area is a great take off for a 45ish minute float down Mountaintown Creek...with a take-out spot in front of the community clubhouse. Be sure to plan your trip with a drop-off and/or pick-up person so you don't get stuck hiking all the way back to the house (unless you want to).

High River Community is only 8 minutes from a Carter's Lake boat ramp. The ramp area includes walking trails, picnic areas, and calm water for easy paddle boarding/kayaking. A very popular trail is Tumbling Waters Trail with more info here Tumbling Waters Nature Trail | HikeTheSouth
